Evanston Front and Back Yard Garden

Some loyal clients we’ve worked with for many years have phased in garden projects with Green Plumb, starting with a renovated backyard planting a decade ago.  Evergreens and a portable water feature soften a rear door entrance, while the site’s heavy clay soils, often waterlogged after any precipitation, support native favorites, ‘Queen of the Prairie’, native wildlife favorite Coneflower, Black Cohosh, and nodding pink Allium.

Our company later installed some durable composite decking and a new rain garden to mitigate the flooding that was happening after heavy rains.

The front yard entrance, which once hugged the edges of the home, was re-designed for a more generous, interesting flow, allowing for larger planting beds stuffed with a mix of natives and ornamentals.
